Position Overview:

The Stores Controller will report to the IMP Aerosapce & Defence location on CFB Trenton.

What You Will Do:
  • Implement and enforce, company and customer, tool control policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding the status, service and condition of tools.
  • Issue, track and maintain tools assigned to technicians.
  • Conduct routine tool audits and inspections to ensure accountability.
  • Ensure tools are properly checked in/out in support of FOD programme.
  • Enforce procedures for broken or damaged tool reporting and replacement.
  • Track calibration schedules and ensure tools are within calibration limits.
  • Perform verification of torque wrenches.
  • Report discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
  • Liaise with customer tool control representatives.
  • Perform other related duties, as directed by Management.
What You Will Bring:
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and to make judgements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in military or aviation tool control an asset.
  • Have the physical ability to perform the role.
  • Have a current provincial drivers license.
  • Have acceptable attendance and performance records.
  • Basic knowledge of WHMIS regulations.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Aerospace Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies. Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety legislation.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 5S activities in your area.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances.
