Purpose

Lead a loan operations team to deliver quality administrative services for credit facilities involving GBM and other BNS units. Supervise Assistant Managers and Analysts, ensuring timely and efficient execution of administrative duties, meeting productivity targets, and overseeing operational controls.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Drive a customer-focused culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships.
  • Manage a team handling the administration of agented syndicated and participated credit facilities, including limit management and loan disbursement/settlement.
  • Ensure adherence to terms and conditions of authorized credits and loan documentation, including pricing, terms, and limits.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties, including Agent and participant Banks, Relationship Managers, and customers, to provide guidance and resolve issues promptly.
  • Escalate exceptions to policies and procedures to Senior Manager/Director for further guidance and resolution.
  • Develop a solid knowledge of the loan platform, Loan IQ, to ensure accurate posting of accounting entries and business line dissemination.
  • Assist Director and Senior Manager with team-related tasks, exception resolution, and special projects.
  • Monitor team productivity, staffing, and work volume, reporting to Senior Manager weekly.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to team members.
  • Consider the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Ensure effective operations and adherence to business controls to meet operational, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk obligations.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team, fostering an inclusive work environment and managing succession and development planning.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in corporate lending services, including cash flow lending, asset-based lending, acquisition and leveraged financing, equipment financing, and project finance.
  • Knowledge of operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk management.
  • Solid understanding of credit facilities, loan documentation, and related terms and conditions.
  • Prior experience managing a team.
  • Proficiency in loan administration platforms, particularly Loan IQ.

Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
