PAL Aerospace is looking for a Chief Pilot (604) to join our team in St. John's, NL!

About PAL Aerospace

  • Divisions: Airborne Surveillance/Medevac/Charters
  • Bases: Campbell River, Halifax, St. John's as well as international locations
  • Fleet: DHC-8-100/300, Beech King Air, Beech 1900, variety of managed turboprops and jets

In your capacity as a Chief Pilot (604) your primary duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • developing standard operating procedures,
  • developing or implementing all required approved training programs for the air operator flight crews,
  • issuing directives and notices to the flight crews as required,
  • the operational suitability and requirements of all aerodromes and routes served by the air operator,
  • the actioning and distribution of accident, incident, and other occurrence reports,
  • the processing and actioning of any flight crew reports,
  • the supervision of flight crews,
  • assuming any responsibilities delegated by the Operations Manager, and
  • all other duties as outlined in the Company Operations Manual.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have type rating on Gulfstream G280
  • Ability to work in a cohesive team environment
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role would be considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience tracking KPIs and submitting summaries and reports
  • Effective time management and planning skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • International flight planning experience
  • Knowledge of airlines operations
  • Document management
  • Valid ATPL License
  • Instrument Rating
  • Multi-Engine Rating
