Responsabilités

Acadia seeks a Manager of Student Accounts to join our Financial Services department. Reporting to the Executive Director, Financial Services, the Manager of Student Accounts will manage all operational aspects of the Student Account activities. As a key member of the Financial Services team, this position is an essential role who must be able to provide an exceptional customer service experience coupled with a strong financial accounting background with an emphasis on accounts receivable management.

The Manager of Student Accounts is responsible for the administration and management of all student accounts at Acadia University, Open Acadia, and the Acadia Divinity College. This key position involves managing operational aspects, policies, and procedures related to student accounts, including tuition, residence fees, Student Union fees, medical fees, and other student-related fees. The role also involves providing guidance to other managers, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications
  • We are seeking candidates who possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with experience in team management, customer service, and collection or lending.
  • Knowledge of and experience in GAAP and Fund Accounting.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, who is effective in their work, flexible to changing demands and works collaboratively, fostering teamwork is essential.
  • Experience in managing a team of employees, including performance and change management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, troubleshooting, and provide direction and advice as required.
  • Applicants must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Ellucian's Colleague applications will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent judgment is necessary for this role. Demonstrated accuracy and the ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
