DUTIES
- Enter, update, and maintain financial transactions in the company's accounting system.
- Ensure accuracy in ledger entries, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable activities, ensuring payments and collections are processed on time.
- Review and approve invoices for payment, manage vendor relations.
- Assist in the preparation of internal monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Generate and analyze financial reports for management use.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Support budgeting processes; perform variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Ensure adherence to accounting procedures and standards, including GAAP.
- Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support payroll processing by verifying timesheets and coordinating with Human Resources for accurate payroll execution.
- Use and maintain accounting software; recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-3 years in an accounting role, with progressive responsibility.
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software (SAGE, ADP) and Microsoft Office.
