The Opportunity?

We believe that our success depends upon having the right people in the right jobs with the ability to work well together. We are currently accepting applications for a Human Resources Generalist. Under the direction of our Human Resources Manager, this position will provide comprehensive Human Resource leadership and guidance to all divisions of Country Ribbon Inc. You will be responsible for the daily functions of the HR department to ensure effective employee and labour relations.

Duties and Responsibilities?

Key expectations for this role will include:

• Provide direction and support to management and employees on human resource related issues
• Implement and administer human resource policies and initiatives
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including creating and promoting job postings, scheduling, and conducting interviews, background checks, and employment offers
• Administer collective agreements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Facilitate employee engagement
• Coordinate workforce requirements ensuring optimal labour efficiencies
• Intercede in labour management issues and assist in grievance handling
• Conduct workplace investigations and manage dispute resolution processes
• Collect and analyze human resources data and produce required reports

Is role right for you?

If you are highly motivated and have exceptional decision making and problem-solving skills this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. You will have a degree or diploma in business specializing in Human Resources with minimum of five years' experience in a related role, preferably in a unionized environment. A CPHR designation would be a valued asset. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills along with the ability to work independently and as team player in a fast-paced environment will be essential.
