MPE, a division of Englobe, is seeking a Junior or Intermediate Structural Technologist to join our team in our Calgary office.
The successful candidate will play a key role in communicating structural designs to construction sites through your drawings.

Your Contribution
- Work in conjunction with an engineering team using BIM and Revit to realize project concepts and designs for structural construction and restoration projects.
- Be an active participant in client meetings, collaborating to resolve any structural drawing understanding concerns and to coordinate with other disciplines in the design team.
- Possess a strong understanding of all phases of project document production and preparing structural plans in wood, steel, masonry and concrete.
- Being able to review structural drawings, drawings of other disciplines, and shop drawings as part of QA/QC and drawing/construction coordination is considered an asset.
- Provide site reviews of projects under construction. This will include inspection of reinforcing steel, structural steel or other structural elements.
- Possess the ability to independently manage multiple projects and deliverables on an ongoing basis, balancing deadlines with work quality and efficiency.
- Produce inspection reports or other written documents as necessary, with an emphasis on clear, concise language.
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
Your Profile
- A diploma or degree in relevant discipline.
- Have 2 years of industry-specific experience in structural drafting.
- Certification as or on track to be an ASET member.
- Proficiency with Revit and modelling to industry-accepted practices, preparing structural plans in wood, steel, masonry and concrete.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD considered an asset.
- Require current drivers' licence and access to a personal vehicle for site visits, as required.
- Require proficiency in writing and verbal English communication.
