We are searching for a permanent full-time Wellness Coach to join our Parkland on the River team based in Miramichi, New Brunswick.

About the Opportunity
Job Summary:
The Wellness Coach oversees and evaluates Harmony Wellness services, managing recreation services across the campus. They coordinate the orientation program, campus education, and team member events. The role ensures the efficient execution of various initiatives, including resident and team surveys, and supports the management team in assigned projects.
- Assess client engagement in wellness activities across six dimensions: Physical, Social, Intellectual, Vocational, Emotional, and Spiritual.
- Develop individualized and community programs, collaborating with local businesses and health teams.
- Ensure alignment with the client-directed philosophy of service.
- Oversee orientation for new clients, conduct wellness assessments, and support clients in their wellness goals.
- Communicate with the Health Services Team on client health status changes and adapt wellness services accordingly.
- Manage wellness services for special events and maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop and manage a volunteer program, including recruitment and recognition.
- Assist in administrative duties such as preparing reports, handling budgets, and supporting the management team;
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- Post-Secondary education in recreation/leisure studies, or another related program (preferred);
- 2-5 years of experience in supervising and coordinating teams (preferred)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification is considered an asset;
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong computer skills;
- You are an energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and has experience in programming and planning for seniors in a recreational environment;
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record check upon hire;
- Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset;
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
