Cape Jourimain Nature Centre is a non-profit environmental centre located on Jourimain Island at the New Brunswick end of the Confederation Bridge. This eco-tourism destination serves to promote the cultural and natural heritage of Jourimain Island and the surrounding local area.
Serving in the Interpretation Department, the Nature and Heritage Interpreter will spearhead the delivery of Cape Jourimain's interpretive services and will serve as the public face of the Nature Centre. Duties will include leading tours and programs, delivering activities on event days, greeting visitors, answering public questions, developing new interpretive content, collaborating with other members of staff, and assisting with cleaning, maintenance, and other operational tasks. Every day will be a bit different and there will be lots of opportunities to learn and get creative.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, positive, and resourceful, with a desire to learn. Applicants must be comfortable with public speaking and working in a team environment. Being able to communicate effectively is essential. A candidate pursuing a degree in environmental studies, history, or education would be preferred. You must have a reliable means of transportation.

Class 5 Drivers License
CPR/First Aid Certificate
Ability to speak both French and English effectively.
Experience in outdoor education and working with the public
Hours:
Full-Time position entails 40 hours/week with possibility for overtime.
Term: May 26 to August 31 (later start date possible for eligible high school students).
Must be available for weekends and weekdays.
Salary: $17/hr
