Junior/ Intermediate CADD or GIS Operator

We are seeking a full time Junior/ Intermediate CADD or GIS Operator in our Oshawa, Ontario office.

The successful candidate will have the following:

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in CAD or GIS.
• Possess 3 to 5 years of related experience in a GIS environment and/or information technology, involved in spatial process analysis and/or GIS applications development.
• Interpreting and utilizing survey data.
• Advanced knowledge of GIS analysis techniques, concepts and procedures, and application of ESRI Arc Map and Office 365.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a demanding environment.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, ArcPy, SQL, R, etc. would be considered an asset.
• Experience in field surveying techniques.
• Experience working with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD).
• Geotechnical and/or environmental experience is considered a strong asset for this position.

Main Duties:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

• Provide drafting support for geotechnical, hydrogeological and environmental projects.
• Providing quality assurance for CAD deliverables.
  
• Collect, manage, organize and illustrate geospatial datasets using GIS platforms (ESRI ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Collector, ArcGIS Field Maps and ArcGIS Survey123.
• Preparing, converting and exporting spatial datasets in various file formats.
  
• Production of promotional materials using GIS platforms.
  
• Create and update plans, sections and schematics using AutoCAD.
  
• Preparation of borehole and monitoring well logs using gINT and other software.
  
• Participate and lead possibly internal training on geospatial data acquisition, management and presentation.
  
• Other duties as required.

Position:

• Full time salaried position.
