The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Sustainment and Change Management, the Manager oversees, and coordinates change management and communication activities globally for our Global Case Manager (Oracle ECM) and assists in project management and/or implementation for new initiatives which promote a positive culture and compliance across the organization.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Oversee the execution of the Oracle ECM Change Management strategy
  • Work closely with Product and Sustainment teams and other key stakeholders to identify needs, design, and development, manage and execute Global Oracle change management activities/events including support of change champion programs, communications, SharePoint pages and channels.
  • Monitor change management programs progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, providing progress reports, and recommending actions to Sr. Manager/Director
  • Work with the subject matter experts (internal, external, industry), our business line partners, and/or Global Learning and Development to acquire or develop and maintain standardized Functional Oracle ECM user content and other communications.
  • Provide Director's additional Oracle project support on an ad hoc basis
  • Support with the management of Design Strategy & Operational Support and Oracle ECM SharePoint pages and channels.
  • Proactively address issues for emerging change management gaps and provide executable solutions
  • Develop/aid in the preparation of presentations to leadership
  • Oversees the development and sustainment of the existing global Design Strategy & Operational Support channel, Oracle ECM programs
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to AML/ATF and Sanction risks and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, the Enterprise-wide AML/ATF and Sanctions Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Business Management or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in training and/or communications
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required to prepare communications and interact effectively with internal and external parties
  • Ability to interact effectively with business teams, collaborate with subject matter experts, gather requirements and develop solutions
  • Strong knowledge of AML policies, procedures, and processes, including internal control principles
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles, training needs analysis and instructional design mythologies
  • Change management experience
  • Strong editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential
  • Strong organizational, project management to meet deadlines and accurately estimate time required for deliverables and planning skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank's interactive systems including Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Results oriented, highly motivated with a keen ability to influence others.
  • Self-reliant and pro-active approach to work
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to demonstrate highly developed facilitation and presentation skills
  • Consistently demonstrating self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management, and Scotiabank's Core Values: Integrity, Respect, Passion and Accountability
  • Fluency in Spanish considered an asset
