We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Manager to oversee the Path Early Intervention Program, a vital component of our Long-Term Disability (LTD) plan. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about improving employee outcomes, reducing claim durations, and driving innovation in disability management strategies.
Position Scope:
Reporting directly to the Director, Group Benefit Solutions, the Program Manager will ensure the effective monitoring and oversight of the program and its outsourced service providers. The primary goal of path is to help employees at participating HANS member facilities (over 300, spanning healthcare and early childhood education sectors) return to work before an instance of an LTD claim; or if necessary to support their LTD application while leveraging early intervention to reduce the duration of their claim. The Program Manager uses outreach strategies -leveraging existing groups, forums, or individual relationships - to build awareness of the program within member facilities. The Program Manager seeks to understand unique trends, opportunities for processes enhancements, and ways to maximize program utilization within each facility. The Program Manager guides and directs the outsourced provider to ensure adherence to the program contract, its established processes, and the overall application of best practices in disability (short-term) management. The Program Manager collaborates with leaders on innovative claims management strategies and stays informed on best practices in disability management. Using analytical skills, the program manager compiles, analyzes, and reports statistical data to monitor performance and drive program success / continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- A university degree, preferably in Disability Management or Health Sciences. Certification as a Disability Management Professional (CDMP) or similar certification with a combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of knowledge and experience in all areas of disability management.
- Strong knowledge of benefit administrations systems, SAP, Excel and data management.
- Display leadership, sound judgement, and independent decision making.
- Self-starter and able to demonstrate considerable initiative.
- Proven experience in report writing, editing, and proofreading business communications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, occupational health professionals, staff, consultants, and member organizations.
