As the Senior Manager, Credit Cards Product & Strategy, you will lead growth and portfolio plans for our suite of Retail Credit Cards. The role will require energy and enthusiasm of a people manager, responsible for ensuring strategies, plans and initiatives are delivered to meet our client needs and financial objectives. You will also work with partners across Scotiabank and payment networks to play a key role in evolving our products across the client lifecycle, while ensuring we deliver quality experiences within the Bank's risk appetite. The incumbent will report directly to the Director, Credit Cards.
Is this role right for you? In this role you, will:

Identify, assess, and incorporate external trends and innovations to drive new growth opportunities and product strategies.

Drive financial performance through ongoing review and analysis of P&L trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and managing strategic investments across select retail credit cards.

Define and execute strategic plans to accelerate business and financial performance, including tactical campaigns for client acquisition and engagement.

Develop and deliver new programs and products from concept to execution, including business cases, documents, presentations, and project plans.

Flawlessly execute priority initiatives and strategic projects by collaborating across Canadian Banking and with functional partners.

Support effective business routines to monitor portfolio performance, engage shareholders, and drive strategic initiatives.

Conduct post-analysis reporting and measurement of results with Finance & Analytics, developing recommendations for future improvements.

Partner closely with central functions and Retail Credit Cards teams to ensure client-centric solutions that deepen relationships and share best practices.

Cultivate a client-obsessed culture that leverages analytics and data for decision-making, deepening client relationships and utilizing broader Bank resources.

Build a high-performance environment with a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates colleagues; foster an inclusive work environment, coach for success, and lead development activities.

Foster a coaching mindset and effectively communicate strategic vision, values, business strategy, and team principles.

Direct day-to-day activities consistent with the Bank's risk culture and appetite statement, communicating these throughout the team.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

Post-secondary education; MBA or other Graduate degree is a plus.

Strong understanding of the credit card business or relevant experience.

Working knowledge of marketing and research methodologies.

Several years of progressive experience in Payments, Card Product Management and/or Strategy roles preferred.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially in delivering compelling business cases and presentations.

Strong capability in crafting effective executive-level communications and presentation materials.

Proven project management, collaboration, and relationship management skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
