Under the direction of the Truck Service Manager, the Shop Technician / Welder is responsible for stocking and organizing inventory, gathering materials and documenting inventory transfers.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Repair, maintain, install and trouble-shoot problems related to piping, pumps, hoses, meters and associated equipment

· Sorting and organizing materials for the service department

· Meet scheduling requirements

· Ensure proper maintenance is conducted for company tools, equipment and vehicles used

· Fabricate hose assemblies for stock and for customer requests

· Verify inventory of equipment; accountable for maintaining service parts

· Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment

· Prepare work orders and other documentation

Qualifications:

· Post-Secondary education, preferably in an electronics or mechanical discipline; or 2 years' equivalent work experience

· Strong aptitude for electronic, mechanical and computer systems

· Organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced and demanding environment

· Able to meet tight deadlines and prioritize same level urgency tasks with an assertive, yet positive attitude

· Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills

· An interest and motivation for building relationships with customers and co-workers

· Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
