Role Description

Reporting to the Plant Director, the Production Manager will lead daily production operations at Berger's plant in Baie-Sainte-Anne, with the opportunity to manage an additional facility in Bay du Vin possible in the near future. In this role, you will help develop and implement organizational strategies that ensure products meet the exceptional quality standards Berger is known for throughout the world.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing initiatives to achieve performance, quality, and safety standards and goals;
• Promoting Berger values at each plant to create a positive and team oriented work environment;
• Recommending improvements to maximize operations and achieve customer satisfaction while maintaining operating costs and meeting production goals;
• Utilizing production management expertise in an automated, fast-paced environment while establishing optimal production schedules and working methods;
• Identifying opportunities for growth and development to help employees further their career at Berger;
• Participating in annual budgeting processes, controls, and forecasts.

Your Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma focused in administration, engineering, or any suitable combination of relevant training and experience will be considered;
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment;
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is an asset;
• Experience with multi-site management;
• Strong management skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams of people;
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills;
• Strategic big-picture thinker;
• French language skills are an asset, but not required;
• Willingness to travel, on occasion.
