Job Summary: Reporting directly to the Recreation Director, the Recreation Program Coordinator (RPC) is responsible for the supervision, planning, organizing, direction and control of recreation programming, and for the efficient and effective administration of programming.

The RPC provides advice on recreation programming to the Recreation Director and the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The RPC provides strategic leadership to and engages with multiple community partners, organizations and residents of Grand Bay-Westfield.

The RPC supports the Community Vitality, Age-Friendly and other committees as required. The RPC works to provide residents of Grand Bay-Westfield of all ages and abilities with a diverse offering of recreation, wellness and leisure opportunities that enrich their lives.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Recreation/Sports Studies, or a related field.
• Experience working in recreation, leisure or event management is an asset.
• Developed communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to a culture of growth and continuous improvement.

Benefits:

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 / year
