Responsabilités

What you will be doing…

  • Working as a team member, you will implement and support the Early Childhood Development Support Centre at Nova Scotia Community College, Kingstec Campus. You will be responsible for project coordination, identification of professional development needs for the early childhood sector, and development and delivery of workshops and other professional development opportunities.
  • You will implement the mentorship program, maintain the resource lending library, and create networking opportunities for the sector. You will work as a part of the provincial team designing and delivering professional development in the sector.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary diploma or degree in related areas such as Early Childhood Studies or Education.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years (full time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in Early Childhood Studies.
  • Occupational experience that includes needs assessment, project planning, implementation, management, and evaluation would be an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, and Internet. You are comfortable working in a digital environment, and you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology. You are committed to using technology in your work.
  • You have a valid First Aid Certification

  • You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can interact effectively with a diversity of people.

  • You are familiar with working within and committed to complying with OHS policies and procedures.
