Human Resources, Strategy and Risk Department

This position is accountable for providing administrative support to the Human Resources, Strategy and Risk Department including:
- Provide confidential, administrative support to the Senior Human Resources Consultant and other members of the HR team
- Coordinate job postings on various platforms and job boards
- Maintain and update applicant tracking in the Human Resources Management System (HRMS)
- Manage candidate applications; screen resumes, schedule and conduct interviews, completereference checks, schedule pre-employment testing, develop job offers
- Support employee onboarding information including arranging orientation and training for successful candidates
- Prepare and maintain recruitment related documentation and files, including offer letters and other onboarding materials
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs
- Ensure compliance with NLC's recruitment and selection policy and procedures through communication and training
- Participate in the recommendation of new or revised policies and procedures related to the recruitment and selection process and communicate policies/procedures to various business units
- Other related duties
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Graduation from a three year post secondary Business Management program from a recognized college, preferably with a human resource management option;
- A minimum of three (3) years experience as administrative support within a highly comprehensive human resources environment;
- Thorough knowledge of the full suite of Microsoft Office applications. Advanced proficiency in Excel an asset;
- Sound knowledge of the functions/principles/practices of human resources, in particular recruitment;
- Highly motivated team player with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal);
- Commitment to safety, confidentiality and excellent customer service;
- Experience working with Human Resources Management Systems would be an asset.

Salary: CG 27: $25.48/hour
