The Role:

As a result of continued robust growth, we are seeking Cost Reduction Specialist to join our team of professionals. The aim of this role is to uncover and implement various cost reduction opportunities with a focus of decreasing organizational expenses to maximize profitability. Reporting to the Director, Business Improvement, the selected candidate will relentlessly identify, vet and remove expenditures that do not provide added value to customers while optimizing processes to improve efficiency. Successful candidacy will include those who are confident, independent self-starters with a competitive drive to support our intra-group of companies as an active member of the Business Performance / Improvement Team.

The ideal candidate will possess familiarity | verifiable experience with these key concepts:

  • Business Case Analysis/Development
  • OKR Strategy, Key performance indicator(s) framework

  • Data Insights and Analytics
  • Financial modelling & Reporting
  • Variance Analysis
  • Continuous Improvement methodology & governance
  • Lean Manufacturing | 6-Sigma
  • ERP, TQM, JIT, MRP, TPS, OEE, integrated supply chain management,

Additional Brief:

  • Partner with senior leadership to assess and prioritize business improvement initiatives in alignment with the strategic roadmap.
  • Lead business improvement initiatives, systems transformations, or revenue/savings generating projects.
  • Develop business processes / standards to drive sales workstreams, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze existing standards, and metrics to provide solutions for improvements.
  • Perform data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending to develop appropriate control changes.
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to develop project milestones, touchpoints, and determine fiscal requirements and resources required. Design, manage and communicate project documentation to achieve objectives, including formal chartering, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure sustained rigour for process reporting, target setting, adverse trends.
  • Prioritize and implement business process change requirements based on critical project needs.
  • Coach / guide resources as needed.
  • Defining business requirements and reporting them back to stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain documentation on performance.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree (Bachelor Business/Commerce preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple duties concurrently
  • Energetic communication and influencing skills across the organization
  • Demonstrated project management experience in Operations, Sales, distribution and inventory management considered an asset.

Note: The organization is targeting prospective candidates with 5+ years of relevant work experience though a combination of education, and experience will be considered.
