Build Nova Scotia's strategic infrastructure division is hiring an engineering student for the 2025 summer term. The Engineering Student is accountable for supporting with assigned projectsand tasks related to our divisions engineering and strategic infrastructure objectives.
· Supports in achieving the goals of the strategic infrastructure department.
· Communicates regularly with project managers and senior management to maintain positive working relationships.
· Monitors, tracks and communicates project deliverables and provides reports and inputs to leaders.
· Closely reviews assigned work and provides ideas and solutions for ongoing projects.
· Gains increased experience and exposure to a diverse range of engineering and infrastructure projects.
· Works with a high attention to detail on assigned tasks and reports progress back to key leaders within the department.
· Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Normal work week hours are 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day.
Normal work is generally carried out in an office work setting. Exposure to indoor/outdoor worksites will occur on occasion.
Additional Information:
This opportunity will start approximately May 1, 2025 with an end date of August 29, 2025.
The hourly rate of pay varies depending on educational level.

The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a full-time engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution in the fall 2025. Other related programs will be considered.
Candidates should possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, display strong organizational and analytical skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is a significant asset.
