Competition Number: 25/03 NT

Here are a few ways you will make a difference:

  • Leading investigation team in collecting information on workplace incidents and recommends actions and possible prosecution
  • Providing direction and guidance to Safety Officers and Mines Inspectors for the compilation and collection of data/evidence detailing circumstances and findings
  • Working with Sr. Safety staff to develop and implement policies, procedures and operational guidelines to improve internal processes related to investigation of Dangerous Occurrences, incidents causing serious bodily harm and fatalities.
  • Preparing documentary packages, with assistance from Legal Counsel for police agencies, the RCMP and the Crown where charges are indicated
  • Traveling to worksites between the NT and NU to conduct necessary investigations as required.

What you bring to the role:

  • Graduation from a relevant accredited training institution or equivalent academic accreditation
  • Minimum five (5) years of related enforcement experience in investigation
  • Must possess a valid class 5 Drivers License
  • Knowledge in regulatory and/or criminal forensic investigations
  • Investigative, interviewing, analytical, communication and inter-person skills
  • Ability to use initiative and independent judgement when conducting investigations
