Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of Scotia Wealth Management and the Learning and Development team by providing leadership of Wealth Management training programs, primarily the Wealth Advisor Development Program (WADP). Collaborates with business partners to lead the management of WADP – an onboarding Program focused on developing professionals in Wealth Advisory.
Accountabilities
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Design, develop and manage all project plans, schedules and logistics associated with Wealth Advisor Development Program.
- Facilitate sessions and activities for WADP and other Programs as required.
- Track and report on KPIs for program success and adapt program as business needs evolve.
- Develop and maintain strong communication/relationships with business leads/leadership to proactively promote and position Program milestones, drivers of success, and mandate.
- Work with key stakeholders across Scotia Wealth Management to establish and communicate standards, reporting, and tracking to ensure successful onboarding of Program participants. This includes managing the ongoing cycle of recruiting, staffing, onboarding, and coaching of participants within the Program ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business.
- Support the interview process across; interview and track candidates and liaise with Sales Management teams on candidate pool for WADP and potential new hires to the business.
- Facilitate the planning and coordination of all exams, courses required by Associates related to mandated designations and professional accreditation. Liaise with industry associations accordingly to ensure seamless administration.
- Coordinate and execute on communication strategy pertaining to the Program.
- Provide regular coaching to trainees on skill development.
- Work with trainee development plans and Business line sponsors to ensure trainees are receiving the appropriate development while in the program.
- Works to identify and create efficiencies across programs.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma
- Bilingual English/French (written and oral) an asset
- Experience in learning design and facilitation
- People management experience and/or experience in recruiting or managing employee onboarding activities/programs an asset
- Project management experience an asset
- Relevant experience in financial services or wealth management preferred; ideal candidate will have general understanding of brokerage/wealth management industry, which may include sales management & administration
