Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced individual with strong database skills to join our team to help with the modernization of our fraud data and analytics platform including analysis of the current environment, onboarding new products to existing on-premise reporting application. In the future stages may assist with the migration to a cloud-based big data platform to enable our business partners to take advantage of the latest analytics and machine learning technologies.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Understand on-premise ETL stack as a expert and is able to migrate/enhance Azure based ETLs
  • Design and implement processes, procedures, and tools to facilitate the ongoing support and maintenance of various database environments (i.e. capacity and performance management)
  • Analyze existing applications and databases and assist in planning and design for cloud migration
  • Consult, when required on all aspects of research, analysis, design, and development of technical solutions including work effort and cost estimation
  • Provide technical input/resolution for assessment of live problems as required
  • Produce and/or assist with the production of various SDLC/PMLC/Agile deliverables and other documents and artifacts as required by TD technology processes

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will:

  • 2-3 years' experience with implementing ETL solutions in Microsoft Azure products like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL and Databricks (PySpark)
  • 5+ yrs working experience in application development on distributed environments
  • Past or present on-prem ETL experience preferably SSIS/SQL/Autosys
  • Experience with Data profiling and metadata management tools.
  • Very well-versed with DevOps CI/CD pipelines, JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket
  • Have strong research, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to clearly articulate ideas.
  • Be flexible, comfortable with change, and willing to try new things.
  • Be able to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Be a mature individual who can work independently and contribute to a positive work environment on the project team

Knowledge of and experience with one or more of the following is considered an asset:

  • Agile Reporting development projects
  • Implementing DevOps CI/CD pipelines for SQL Server/SSRS/SSIS deployment automation
  • TD's internal processes and technology artifacts

Education and Accreditations:

  • College Diploma or University degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ yrs working experience in application support/development on distributed environments
