Moosehead Breweries is the last major brewery in Canada still owned by Canadians. Headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, the company has been led by the Oland family since 1867.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Summer Co-op Student. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience supporting our operations while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Support the calibration, testing, and repair of control systems, sensors, and other instrumentation equipment.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support system monitoring and control.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Participate in routine inspections of equipment to ensure operational reliability and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports related to system performance and maintenance activities.
- Support team members with project planning, material inventory, and equipment management.
- Follow company safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Candidates MUST be returning to post-secondary education in Fall 2025
- Currently enrolled in the Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls program at NBCC Saint John or a related field.
- Basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation principles, systems, and equipment.
- Familiarity with tools and software commonly used in the industry (e.g., AutoCAD, multimeters, PLC programming tools).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace standards.
