We are currently looking for a Full Time Disability Case Management Specialist to join our Halifax team!
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of relevant work experience
- Experience in disability management
- University degree in health care, education or social services
- 2-4 year's experience performing medium or complex case management in a decision-making capacity in patient-care, social service, health care, disability case management, or related environment.
- An equivalent combination of a university degree in another area of study and significant additional experience in case management may be considered.
Assets:
- Certificate in Disability Management is an asset
- Current CPR and First Aid
Responsibilities:
- An integral part of the Occupational Health and Safety team proactively managing assigned disability claims for the service area
- Evaluating medical information and job duties, developing case management and return to employment plans during periods of disability/WCB
- Accountable for the Occupational Health and Safety of all employees of Northwood
- Facilitates stay and work and return to work initatives and plans
- Provides support to program area Managers and Staff on WCB process and Disability Management
- Comfortable in delivering presentations, training, mentoring, and coaching others
Effective Date: Immediately
Hours of Work: 64 Hours bi-weekly (8 hour shift - Days)
Salary / Benefits: As per the Northwood scale.
