Job Title: Truck Helper
Location: Moncton, NB
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM-8:00PM -Rotational
Rate: $17.00/Hr
Job Overview: As a Truck Mover/Helper, you will assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring that deliveries are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the loading and unloading of goods from trucks, containers, or other vehicles, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
* Organize and secure cargo properly using appropriate equipment, ensuring that items are positioned in a way that minimizes risk during transport or storage.
* Follow all established safety protocols and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices for hazardous materials, if applicable.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors, drivers, and other team members to coordinate operations, resolve issues, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate personnel to maintain accurate stock records.
* Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency in daily operations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Physical capability to lift and carry heavy objects, with the ability to handle weights of up to 60 lbs regularly. Must be able to perform repetitive motions and physically demanding tasks, such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
* Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments. Proven ability to resolve conflicts and communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment, showing flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities and workloads.
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
* Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and operate equipment safely when needed.
* A strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability in meeting job expectations and deadlines.
