Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure Support, the Policy, Planning and Research Analyst is responsible for policy planning, research, and development of organizational initiatives within the Maintenance and Operation division of Infrastructure Support. The position will be involved in many aspects of the maintenance and infrastructure operations portfolio performing functions including monitoring and controlling data related to work requests, drafting and reviewing tenders, contract management and administration, coordination of multiple projects simultaneously, and performing quality inspections. Duties of this position will include but are not limited to the development, implementation and maintenance of departmental and program plans, work processes, and quality reporting framework to support the Urban Infrastructure portfolio. The position will perform research on best practices and comparisons to similar entities to ensure best in class and assist in the preparation of strategic plans/annual reports and additional reporting requirements. Compile and analyze data to create reports and briefing notes to advance the strategic direction of the program. Reports and briefing notes created will be for Eastern Health Executive as well as for various government departments. This position will also conduct research for a variety of stakeholders (i.e. clinical programs, managers, Executive team, etc.) and provides statistical data analysis and reporting by developing databases, ensuring data integrity, and performing data extracts for stakeholders. The position will represent the program on various committees and working groups with internal stakeholders as well as stakeholders at various provincial government departments, municipalities, community partners, and business owners in the region. Creates internal documents, reports, and presentations as needed. Develops and delivers training to staff as required.

Exact results and precision are required when preparing reports, compiling statistical information, and responding to information requests.
Auditory concentration includes constant listening to multiple stakeholders requesting information, questioning for clarity and communicating complex responses.
Occasionally impacted by interruptions and multiple time pressures/deadlines for immediate results for data or information. Reporting deadlines occur regularly.
Occasionally required to drive to various locations to perform work duties
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration/commerce, Economics, Statistics or related field is required.
Minimum of two years of experience within the last four working in a business environment performing evaluation, data assessment, and analysis is required.
Experience with Public Tendering would be an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Demonstrated collaboration, superior oral and written communications skills, attention to detail, and the ability to plan and organize are required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated individual leadership skills and autonomous critical thinking ability.
Demonstrated time management skills as well as experience prioritizing and working in dynamic and collaborative environments.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
A satisfactory driver's license and driver's abstract will be required.
