Salary range: $42,176.04 to $47,189.29 annually (pro-rated to 60%)

Responsabilités

Working in a team environment and reporting to the Academic Chair, School of Access, Education and Language, you will provide a full range of administrative support services, with an emphasis on providing superior customer service to Early Learning Professionals, NSCC students, staff and the public.

As part of the front-line team in the Early Years Professional Learning Support Site (EYPLSS), you are responsible for responding to walk-in requests, phone calls, and electronic inquiries (e.g., email, instant messaging, online forms) related to Early Childhood Development programming and services at the EYPLSS. You will enroll Early Learning Professionals in Early Learning Curriculum Framework training and seminars; maintain current and historical Learner files; maintain an inventory for the Lending Library and online resource database; provide support for special events such as workshops and conferences; prepare a variety of letters efficiently and accurately; and laminate, copy and scan documents. You will also work collaboratively with the EYPLSS Coordinator and other EYPLSS provincial teams.

Other duties will include (but are not limited to) inputting data; providing basic administrative support such as filing, booking rooms, meetings, and general office support as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Administrative Professional/Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' (full-time equivalent) of recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience. A Level 2 certification in Early Childhood Education would be considered an asset.

  • Occupational experience that includes working in the Early Childhood Sector would be considered an asset.

  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite and e-mail. Experience with Peoplesoft or a similar ERP, ORBIS and Brightspace would be considered an asset.

  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.

  • Experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery and evaluation would be considered an asset.

  • Experience supporting/providing service to learners through a lending library would be considered an asset.

  • You possess excellent coordination skills specifically related to coordinating newsletters, online resources, conferences, and workshops.

  • You have proven records and information management skills and abilities specifically related to recording expenses in excel spreadsheets.
