Salary range: $46,690.30 to $54,832.37 annually

Responsabilités

Reporting to the Academic Chair, School of Access, Education and Language, and working as a team member, you will coordinate the activities and work of the Early Years Professional Learning Support Site at Sydney Waterfront Campus. You will be responsible for the identification of professional development needs for the early childhood education field, project coordination, and development/ delivery of workshops, online training, and other professional development opportunities as requested by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. You will coordinate the business of the Site and you will work as part of a provincial team to design and deliver programming to the sector.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related area such as Early Childhood Studies or Education. An Early Childhood Education (ECE) Level 2 Classification would be considered an asset.

  • You have current First Aid and other appropriate certifications.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years (full-time equivalent) of recent occupational experience related to the field of early childhood studies.

  • Experience in developing and fostering effective relationships with members of the broader community, including employers, Board members, staff in childcare centers, faculty and management of the College and other professionals.

  • Strong track record in planning, implementing and managing projects.

  • Strong background in workshop facilitation.

  • Occupational experience that includes project coordination in the delivery of face-to-face and online training and workshops would be considered an asset.

  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite and e-mail. Experience with Learning Management Systems such as Brightspace and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Peoplesoft would be considered an asset.

  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work

  • Experience supporting/providing service to the Early Childhood Education sector and prospective clients/students would be considered an asset.

  • You possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and can interact at all levels of an organization.

  • You have knowledge of the issues and concerns facing the Early Childhood Studies sector.

  • You have an understanding of Portfolio Development.

  • You are known for your superior customer service skills and can create a relationship of trust beyond the immediate interaction.

  • Your superb team working skills enable you to contribute positively to a team environment.

  • You have specific technical occupational knowledge and skill in tracking financial information related to expense tracking and budget report writing.

  • You are known for your problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • You are a strong communicator.

  • You possess excellent coordination skills specifically related to planning workshops, conferences, online training and facilitation.

  • You have proven records and information management skills and abilities related to database management.
