Job Summary?
Work involves providing nursing care and treatment services for the physically ill, disabled and/or cognitively impaired clients in the facility note above within a Nurse Collegian I/ II/III scope of practice. The successful candidate will be committed to working with all team members to provide safe and quality client care. The Nurse Collegian will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centred care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

· Dependent on area of work, include but not limited to):
· Accountable for all assigned aspects of care for assigned clients.
· Accepts responsibility for own actions and working within scope of practice.
· Informs appropriate personnel regarding level of preparation and ability to perform nursing actions.
· Assesses clients and communicates the assessment in an orderly and timely manner to appropriate persons.
· Recognizes the psychosocial and spiritual needs of the client.
· Attends change of shift report to receive/clarify assignment.
· In collaboration with registered nurses, assists in the formulation of a nursing care plan.
· Performs other related duties as required.
Job Qualifications?
· Successful completion of the first year (Nurse Collegian I), second year (Nurse Collegian II) or third year (Nurse Collegian III) of a recognized nursing program.
· Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
· Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or willingness to complete in time specified by employer;
· The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.
