Job Information and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Athletics & Recreation, the Sport Coordinator will:
· Provide support to both varsity and club sport teams at Saint Mary's University.
· Provide assistance and guidance on game day operations.
· Coordinate game day events including officials, minor officials, music/announcing, webcasting, photography, statistical inputs and uploads, game video uploads, Usports/AUS reporting, players of the game, security, ticketing, and other requirements of exhibition, league and playoff contests.
· Be responsible for coordinating all visiting team requirements and protocols.
· Coordinate the delivery of the club sport portfolio including registration, all required paperwork, game day hosting, travel and strategic planning.
· Work as part of a multi-dimensional team including Secretary IV, Marketing & Revenue Generation Coordinator, Communications Officer, and department leadership on a daily basis.
· This position requires work in a non-traditional work schedule of Wednesday to Sunday weekly; normally working 2pm to 10pm daily; based on event schedule of department programming.

Experience and Education Requirements
To be the successful Sport Coordinator you will have:
· Completion of a College program in sports management.
· Minimum two years directly related experience.
· Able to work weekends and evenings.
· Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Current on social media.
· Knowledge of athletics and recreational facilities.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Cross cultural working experience.
· Working knowledge of statistical software across various sports an asset
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web editing skills considered definite asset.
· Working knowledge of AUS and USports an asset.
