Jump Recruitment Specialists has partnered with the Power & Associates, CPA in their search for a full-time permanent, Staff Accountant (Audit or Tax).

Our expanding client base includes highly motivated entrepreneurs and private corporations, not-for profit entities, government, and individuals, with whom our team communicates directly to service existing needs and develop long-term solutions and relationships.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Conduct year-end financial statement files including audit, review and compilation engagements;

· Corporate / Personal / Trust tax returns;

· Client tax compliance matters for income tax, payroll and HST;

· Other accounting related duties as required;

· Apply knowledge of various accounting standards;

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· 2-3 years of relevant work experience in public accounting ;

· Experience with accounting and tax software including Simply Accounting, Caseware, and Profile;

· Efficiency, willingness to learn and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines;

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;

· A positive attitude with effective communication skills;

· Accounting designation considered an asset;

· Business degree or equivalent experience;

· CPA designation or enrollment in CPA PEP;

· Experience preparing year-end compilation and review engagements;

· Bookkeeping experience considered an asset.
