Job Summary
NL Health Services Urban Zone is inviting applications for an Intensive Care Physician to join the Critical Care Program and provide service to the medical/surgical ICU at Health Sciences Centre and St. Clare's and the Cardiovascular Surgery Unit at Health Sciences Centre. Our Intensive Care Units provide tertiary services to the entire province and the French Islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon.
Service Requirements:
The successful candidate will provide care for 14-18 weeks per year as part of a multidisciplinary team. Residents at various levels of training rotating rotate through ICU at both sites. Each on service week is comprised of 7 days and 4 nights rotating between all units. A post critical care fellowship is preferred. Skills in percutaneous tracheostomy and POCUS, and experience in research and/or medical education is desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Critical Care Medicine
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NL.
- Satisfy credentialing requirements of Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
Remuneration:
The remuneration is via an Alternate Payment Plan based on an hourly rate for 12 hours.
