Working with the HR Business Partner SVP/VP, the Senior Manager, is responsible for providing necessary inputs and insights to help with the design and implementation of talent plans and initiatives. The Senior Manager partners closely with the Communities of Expertise (CoEs) in service of implementing core bank programs, ensuring all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. This role has high level accountability for the HRBP team's success, working independently to meet goals and aligning to objectives contributing to overall performance.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Provides strategic support to the SVP/VP, HRBP for talent programs and initiatives.
  • Partners with Communities of Expertise (CoEs), GHR Solutions, HRBP Community and Talent Strategy as the single point of contact in service of implementing core bank programs, cyclical activities, and new initiatives.
  • Leverages collaboration skills and professional network to champion a client-focused culture and deepen client relationships.
  • Represents HRBPs in strategic business plan development and identifies and recommends the right HR strategy and solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Provides data-driven talent insights and solutions to leaders on priorities and needs, influencing program and policy design.
  • Facilitates local HR regulatory compliance needs with GHR Solutions / CoEs (e.g. reporting) and collaborates with GHR Solutions / CoEs to deploy activities required in the areas of development & training, recruitment & onboarding, and performance and compensation reviews. Provides support for escalated cases from GHR Solutions as appropriate.
  • Identifies emerging themes, patterns, and trends through data analytics, and provides insights and recommendations to support decision making aligned to the Bank's talent strategy.
  • Advocates and champions, the transformation of the GHR operating model with the aim of creating a globally integrated function.
  • Agile to assist in HRBP accountabilities as needed depending on business/corporate functions needs and volumes. Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture are considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience or relevant business experience.
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably with focus on business/human resources or work-related experience.
  • CHRP, CHRL or other HR designation, or in progress is an asset.
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization. Able to collaborate with HR stakeholders and business partners and coach managers. Actively listens and seeks to understand needs with genuine curiosity.
  • Strong ability to strategically influence and persuade senior leaders.
  • Identifies solutions through effective questioning, reasoning, and data analytics
  • Strong problem solving, pattern recognition, conflict management, negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to perform independently in a complex, high change environment while being a positive steward for the global HR team.
  • Results oriented and able to effectively execute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic capabilities to assess issues and their potential impact on the Bank's image and reputation.
  • Excellent project management skills to oversee execution of complex communications strategies.
  • Ability to build strong cross-cultural and cross-divisional team relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding to allow appropriate partnership with client groups.
  • Understands how the data relates to actions and results for an individual person or team
  • Highly skilled in creating impactful and strategic communications leveraging data and insights to create a compelling narrative leveraging relevant tools (e.g. Co-pilot, PowerPoint, etc)
