The Shipper and Receiver will perform all duties related to shipping, receiving and distribution of goods. The position is responsible to expedite orders, resolve complaints and discrepancies on purchased materials, supply and services. Relationship Management is key to this position as the role will assist in maintaining good public relations with delivery services and with all employees. Lastly, this position is responsible for ordering and inventory of all Facilities supplies.
• (75%) Shipping and Receiving of Goods and Supplies: Receive and ship out goods for the whole organization; filling out courier and international papers; distribution of shipment items to respective departments; and completion of all necessary paperwork. Matching of goods and services to purchase orders. Receipt of all goods and services in finance system. Coordinating with accounts payable ensuring timely payment to vendors. Coordinating with Management to have funds added to purchase requisitions as required. Coordinate setup of new supply vendors.
• (5%) Scheduling: Work in collaboration with vendors to coordinate dumpster pick up; scheduling of urinal cartridges replacement for facilities; organization and scheduling of Blood Drives at Canadian Blood Services.
• (10%) Inventory Management: Maintaining and completing monthly inventory of storage items in facilities, manage quotes and purchase inventory and supplies for track, maintenance, and admin; upgrading old facilities equipment; management of keys and locks for outdoor storage and employee lockers; and management of asset tags for Charlottetown and Summerside.
• (5%) Relationship Management: Interact with vendors daily through all channels of communication; meet and greet all delivery services arriving at the site; work with suppliers to manage quotes and product information; confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify shipment or product issues such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
• (5%) Health and Safety: Responsible for management of MSDS and WHMIS in Charlottetown and Summerside.
• Post-secondary education, certificate in distribution and transportation techniques or comparable equivalent and minimum 2 years related experience.
• Ability to sit, stand for long periods of time in addition to lifting up to 50lbs boxes on a daily basis.
Given the role serves 'internal clients', it is important that the clerk have an above average customer service skills ensuring requests are handling professionally delivering a superior service with each encounter.
