Payroll Specialist

We're excited to announce a new opportunity for a Payroll Specialist as we continue to grow and expand our team. This is a full time, permanent position with a hybrid work option.
Position Scope:
The Payroll Specialist will work within the payroll services department and will be assigned to complete payroll tasks and responsibilities for specific clients. The position will work directly with the payroll team manager in developing payroll processes, implementing payroll clients, and processing client payrolls. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely data processing of client payrolls, supporting needs of the team, clients and other general payroll functions.
Qualifications:
- College or University education in business administration, payroll, etc.
- Payroll Compliance Professional Certificate (PCP) or willingness to obtain is a requirement
- No less than 5 years' experience in payroll administration
Critical Skills & Applicant Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of capability in the areas of analytical thinking, problem-solving and multitasking.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience in MS Office solutions (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), payroll system solutions (PayWorks, ADP, Ceridian, etc.) and using databases.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
- Able to work under minimum direction and act as a team player.
