Foundations Associate - Philanthropic Advisory Services


As the Foundations Associate, you support dedicated Foundations manager(s) and their book of charitable-minded clients from across Canada. You will work in a team-oriented environment to provide administrative support and exceptional donor service to an assigned group of charitable funds managed by Aqueduct Foundation a registered charity. As the Foundations Associate, you will carry out instructions from donors, their advisors, and other external contacts within the business and charitable community under the guidance and direction of the Foundations manager which predominantly include distributions out to other registered charities and contributions to donor advised funds. In addition, you are responsible for cash management, CRM maintenance on charitable software – Foundant, raising funds with various investment managers, administration to establish new funds, weekly and monthly reconciliation between CRM system and bank systems.

Is this role right for you? In this role:

  • You must have previous experience working in a dedicated administrative position.
  • You should be highly organized and able to work through high volumes.
  • You must be able to process tasks accurately and efficiently often in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required as communication is primarily through email and telephone.
  • As the Philanthropic Team is small, being a team-focused individual with a positive attitude is required.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Strong computer skills with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of the investment industry
  • Working knowledge of the charitable community
  • High School Diploma
  • Canadian Securities Course would be preferred but not required.
