Job Summary
Reporting to the Zone Director of Pharmacy Services, this position is responsible for management and operational leadership of Pharmacy Services located across the Peninsula sites. The manager is responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources, as well as the quality of services provided. This position is also accountable for the development and provision of Pharmacy Services on a regional basis; liasing with NL Health Service's Long Term Care program and externally contracted pharmacy vendors for Long term Care; financial management including operating budget accountability; participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of Pharmacy Services strategic directions and objectives as well as process improvement projects; and human resources management including performance reviews and attendance management.
Job Qualifications
Education
Graduation from an approved School of Pharmacy is required.
Completion of a hospital residency program is an asset.
Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Business or a related field is an asset.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years' experience within the last seven (7) in a hospital pharmacy environment with experience with managing projects of a complex nature.
