Job Summary
This position provides administrative support and assistance in coordinating the activities for the manager of the rehabilitation division as well as the rehabilitation clinics. The successful candidate will book client appointments, communicate with families, complete area dictations and other administrative duties as necessary for the effective day to day functioning of the area. They will be responsible for telephone reception and greeting clients/families as necessary. Documents will be prepared using Meditech, Excel and Word software. The successful candidate must have good communication skills and will communicate with other areas and disciplines within the Division.

Occasionally lifts files up to 10 lbs and may use a cart for carrying files
Constantly required to sit in a stationary position to maintain contact with the foot controls,
mouse and keyboard with limited freedom to move about.
Requires fine finger precision work while using the computer and accurate control of the foot controls of the dictation machine.
Constantly requires visual and auditory concentration and does repetitive tasks.
Job Qualifications
Successful completion of a one year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college is required.
Successful completion of an approved/recognized medical terminology course is required.
A medical transcription score of 70% is required. A medical transcription test may be administered by the Department of Human Resources.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
*Proof of a current office administration program and medical terminology is required. To be considered current, they must have been completed within the last five years, unless it has been used in recent positions. This must be demonstrated on the application form.
** If medical terminology isn't current, a medical terminology test may be administered by the Human Resources Client Services Department.
