Senior Learning Content Editor
The Senior Learning Content Editor plays a key role in the creation of high-quality e-learning materials by collaborating closely with the Program Development team, faculty, and subject matter experts. This position is responsible for overseeing and supporting a team of Learning Content Editors, ensuring the development of engaging and effective learning experiences. As the lead contact for editing guidelines and quality standards, the Senior Learning Content Editor will also contribute to the design of interactive e-learning products and ensure that all learning components meet the required standards.
Project Planning & Collaboration:
Work with the Manager of Program Development and team coordinators to plan departmental projects. Identify tasks relevant to Learning Content Editor functions and create processes to ensure effective project execution.
Team Leadership & Support:
Serve as the main point of contact for Learning Content Editors. Provide support and guidance regarding editing guidelines, quality standards, and best practices. Communicate project updates and expectations, ensuring alignment across the team. Conduct training sessions as needed.
Content Editing:
Edit learning content submitted by subject matter experts to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with educational goals. Ensure all content is accurate and adheres to departmental standards.
E-Learning Product Design:
Design and develop interactive e-learning materials, including PowerPoints, SCORM files, and Moodle activities. Ensure these materials are engaging, accessible, and pedagogically sound.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct quality assurance reviews of all learning components on the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure that they meet technical and educational standards.
Collaborative Integration:
Work closely with subject matter experts and the Program Development team to seamlessly integrate educational and technological components within e-learning programs.
Self-Directed Project Management:
Deliver high-quality results independently while adhering to project timelines. Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- An undergraduate degree and practical experience in curriculum or learning content writing, technical writing, or related fields.
- Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and managing teams. Ability to motivate and guide team members to produce high-quality results focused on excellence.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to a variety of stakeholders.
- A passion for continuous personal and professional growth, staying current with developments in e-learning, instructional design, and related fields

Hours of Work
This is a fulltime permanent position (35 hours) under regular business hours. The position is located in Fredericton, NB with the possibility to work remotely from anywhere in New Brunswick, and attend in-office meetings, as required. The ideal candidate should reside in New Brunswick or is willing to relocate.
