Salary Range: $47,971- $59,969 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Director, UNB Art Centre, the Program Development Coordinator is responsible for the planning, development, marketing, administration, and implementation of several unit programs and services, primarily focusing on Leisure Learning adult programs and the Design Works children's programs. This position contributes to the planning and improvement of overall administrative processes within these program areas through continuous evaluation, researching best practices, exploring new opportunities, and presenting recommendations.
- Responsible for the planning, development, and daily management of the non-credit adult, youth, and children's programs offered by the UNB Art Centre.
- Stay up-to-date on current topics in continuing education and non-credit programming, and assessing community gaps to be responsive to the needs of clients.
- Recruit instructors and subject matter experts and assist in the development of course content, program processes, and course delivery.
- Locate and book regular and specialized classrooms internally and externally.
- Hire, train, schedule and supervise instructors and staff.
- Supervise work-study student(s) and other part-time assistants throughout the year.
- Provide leadership in developing program goals and objectives.
- Ensures staff have the appropriate resources and systems in place to enable them to teach their classes efficiently and effectively.
- Look for opportunities to improve processes and the work environment for staff.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to grow and develop new markets.
- Work closely with UNB Strategic Communications & Marketing and Learning Futures Marketing to create promotional materials (posters, ads, articles, signage, videos, social media posts, etc.).
- Set up displays and attend trade shows.
- Oversee updates to website.
- Responsible for media inquiries, managing interviews, press releases, articles, etc.
- Seek out promotional opportunities and partnerships with other organizations in the region.
- Communicate with clients regarding courses and programs in a timely fashion.
- Troubleshoot, problem solving and handling complaints.
- Make data driven decisions based on the analysis of marketing initiatives, program evaluations, surveys, demographics, psychographics, and market competition.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in adult and children's learning environments.
