OVERVIEW
The Hibernia and Hebron Research & Development (R&D) initiative encompasses a new portfolio of projects in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Additive Manufacturing, Ocean Technology, and Subsurface Prediction and is administered by Research Initiatives and Services (RIS).
The Senior Project Manager will ensure that the suite of projects meets projected milestones in a timely manner within the allocated budget, and that internal and external reporting requirements are met. To do so, the successful applicant will work closely with the Associate Director, Hibernia and Hebron R&D Initiative, Principal Investigators, project teams, Energy Research and Innovation (ERI), the project Advisory Committee, and industry partners.
DUTIES
Reporting to the Associate Director, Hibernia and Hebron R&D initiative, the Senior Project Manager will ensure that the entire Hibernia and Hebron suite of projects are executed on time and on budget. Duties include training and/or assisting the Project Managers or Project Coordinators; informing the standardization of reporting for internal/external partners; tracking the project plans and helping to ensure the project reporting is completed on time; maintaining effective communications with RIS, ERI and all partners; coordinating budget updates for various stakeholders; collaborating with communications and RIS personnel and standardizing requests for media releases; and performing other related duties as required by the Associate Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (5-7 years) in project management with a demonstrated record of success, preferably in a university or research and development (R&D) environment; completion of a master's degree in a related engineering or science field; or an equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written communication, and the ability to prioritize work are essential. The successful candidate will be open to learning new concepts and approaches to research and project management. Experience in conducting research, critical appraisal, knowledge translation, data analytics, and data management is considered an asset. Collaborative work with funding agencies and partner organizations and/or project management certifications would be assets.
SALARY $72,832 - $94,409 per annum (Management and Professional)
