Meridia Recruitment is excited to partner with Kruger Inc. to find a Human Resources Advisor who will contribute to CBPPL's ongoing success and growth. The HR Advisor will support a wide range of HR functions across the company, ensuring effective employee relations, supporting union communications, and fostering a culture of safety and performance. What You'll Do:
- Health & Safety: Ensure safety policies are followed and assist with investigations. Oversee the mill's medical and security teams.
- Union Relations: Interpret collective agreements, resolve grievances, provide frontline assistance, and participate in bargaining.
- Employee Relations: Advise managers on HR issues, administer company policies, and support performance management.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage recruitment processes and onboarding for new employees.
- Benefits & Administration: Maintain benefits programs and HRIS systems (JDE, FlexPlus, Blue Cross).
- Employee Development: Coordinate training, manage the training budget, and assist with succession planning.
Who You Are:
- Education: You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience: You bring 5+ years of HR experience, particularly in unionized environments, with expertise in employee relations and grievance administration
- HR Expertise: You have a strong understanding of HR policies, labour relations, and performance management, with the ability to provide resolve complex employee issues.
- Leadership Skills: You possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and influence others, both internally and externally.
- Problem Solver: You excel at identifying issues and creating practical solutions, especially in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Collaborative: You thrive in a team-oriented setting, working effectively with management, employees, and union representatives.
- Certifications: You hold a CHRP designation (or are working toward it) and are proficient with HRIS systems.
