Job Summary: The successful applicant will be responsible for performing a full range of repairs on mobile equipment at our Lower Cove quarry.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Completion of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic red seal certification is required. Experience with hydraulic and electrical system troubleshooting and repair is preferred. Experience dealing with highway and off highway trucks, small to large loaders, excavators, dozers, and DTH drills would be a definite asset. A background in related trades and knowledge of computers is a definite asset. The successful applicant must be self-motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
As a condition of employment, the successful applicant must have and must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable safety record. The successful applicant will also be required to provide their own tools.
HOURS OF WORK
The successful candidate will be required to participate in shift work in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
