Information Technology and Services at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the part-time position of Analyst/Programmer.
About the Opportunity
As a member of the Systems and Web Services team, the Analyst/Programmer's primary functions are systems analysis, patching/updates, problem solving, project coordination, documentation, and operational support of university administrative systems.
- Supporting web-based systems, including SharePoint, Office 365, MS Teams, report writing systems, and custom web applications.
- Supporting the Mount's ERP system (Colleague), which includes admissions, student records, finance, human resources, fund raising and advancement.
- Upgrading/patching systems, custom programming, documentation, database administration, security administration, report writing, and end user support.
- Manage databases, operating systems and related software, and required infrastructure for the administrative computing environment.
- System analysis and user requirements definition, project coordination, and implementation of new systems/features.
About You
The Mount is seeking an IT professional to provide operational support and project support for our administrative systems. The position requires written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated problem solving skills, the ability to learn quickly, and a strong customer service ethic. A willingness to work flexible hours is necessary to meet some deadlines.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related discipline, or a degree equivalent, and a minimum of five years' related experience.
Proven experience with programming languages such as Unibasic, Javascript, C#, or Visual Basic is required. Proven experience in database administration such as Unidata, MySQL, or MS SQL is required. Applicants must be able to demonstrate direct experience with programming languages, database administration, SharePoint, report writing systems (such as Entrinsik Informer), and ERP systems (ideally Ellucian Colleague) in their application.
Classification: 12 Month, 50% NSGEU, Level 8 Position (potential for renewal)
Salary: $64,314 per annum (prorated as $32,157 for the term)
