Now, we are thrilled to be partnered with P3 looking to bring an experienced Accountant to their team in Halifax!

This is a key role in the organization, assuming responsibility for the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for payroll support and other administrative duties as required.

Responsibilities will include:

• Performing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensuring accuracy of financial transactions and balancing accounts.
• Posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing trial balances of books and maintaining general ledgers.
• Working with management to review and track accounts payable and accounts receivable activity.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies and procedures.
• Assisting with payroll processes.
• Other administrative duties as required, such as filing, answering queries from clients/vendors, and other financial duties.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Strong attention to detail to keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance accounts.
• Ability to prepare and present financial reports.
• Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Previous experience with accounting software or interest in operating manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
