Central Zone is seeking the services of full-time Clinical Assistant within the Hospitalist Program.

Central Zone is the second largest health zone in Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services, serving approximately 90,000 people (17 per cent of the province's population) living in 176 communities. With a geographical area encompassing more than half the total land mass of the island, the Central region extends from Charlottetown in the east, Fogo Island in the north, Harbour Breton in the south, to Baie Verte in the west.Central Zone provides a variety of primary, secondary, long-term care, community health, and other enhanced secondary services.

The successful applicant will work as a member of the Hospitalist team to assist the physicians with patient rounds, admissions/ discharges and other duties that may be required under the scope/qualifications of the Clinical Assistant license. After hours/weekend/stat holiday on-call assignment may be required.

Qualifications Required*Eligible for licensure as a Clinical Assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL)
*Satisfy privileging/credentialing requirements.

Hours of Work75 hours biweekly plus on-call obligations

RemunerationThis position is salaried as per the Memorandum of Agreement. Incumbent can avail of paid leave, medical and dental insurance as well as Pension contributions.
