Job Summary
The Surgical Services Program of NL Health Services invites expressions of interest for a full-time fee-for-service orthopaedic surgical assist for the Eastern Region. Physician must be comfortable working at numerous facilities including but not limited to Health Sciences, St. Clare's, Janeway, Carbonear General, and Curtis Memorial. Candidates should have formal surgical assist or similar training and experience. Familiarity with orthopaedic procedures would also be an asset.
The successful candidate will join an established group of orthopaedic surgeons (as a dedicated assist) in an academic setting. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic and enthusiastic team and will be expected to have strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills in order to function as consultants to clinicians, laboratory and academic staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Degree

- Satisfy credential and privilege requirements of NL Health Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
Remuneration: Remuneration is competitive and in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association Memorandum of Agreement and MCP Fee Schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing their own administrative support.
