Breathing Green Solutions, Nova Scotia's 1st licenced cannabis producer, is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager at their grow facility in beautiful Wentworth, NS. Reporting to the CEO, the Quality Assurance Manager leads the quality assurance team to ensure that materials, components, equipment, procedures, products and records are introduced, trained, and adhered to in accordance with our internal specifications and governing regulations.
Responsabilités
- Be an onsite expert on Health Canada regulations as they pertain to cannabis production and distribution.
- Ensure that processes and competencies are in place to drive a culture of compliance through collaboration.
- Oversee and provide direction on control processes and procedures including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), change procedures, checklists, audits, etc.
- Work with the operations team to ensure compliance measures are achieved in an operationally efficient manner.
- Collaborate and support quality teams in each provincial jurisdiction to ensure provincial compliance.
- Remain current on all regulation updates as well as any changes to jurisdictional requirements.
- Support and collaborate with other BGS teams to ensure continued compliance.
- Provide guidance for investigations including corrective/preventative actions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to members of the QA team.
- Assist members of the QA team in identifying career development opportunities such as cross training, external development activities, conferences/seminars/online or self-directed education.
- Work with the QA team to identify training opportunities for the operations team and other staff within the organization. Develop and deliver training programs as required.
- Provide QA insight to potential commercialization projects both internal and with external partners.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Master's degree in Microbiology or Chemistry or relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience in a quality, regulatory and/or testing lab environment.
- 1-3 years' experience in a Cannabis LP facility is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead people and manage a team.
- Solid understanding of Health Canada Cannabis Regulations and all other relevant regulations.
- Pharmaceutical or Cannabis Industry knowledge.
- Proven ability to build solid relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to build a case and gain buy in while respecting other's points of view.
- Solid knowledge of quality risk assessments and audit procedures.
