Job Description:

CUSTOMER

  • Manage sourcing initiatives covering a range of complexity that support TD and business partner needs and objectives as well as help to mitigate risks to the organization
  • Responsible for the management and support of all SSG purchasing tools and is a subject matter expert on PO's, e-Auctions and Contract Compliance within the Ariba tool
  • Responsible for placing PO's, coordinating with vendors and tracking PO progress.
  • Ensure the accuracy of purchase requisitions, PO details and vendor invoicing
  • Manage issues with PO's in an efficient and timely manner. Ensure data accuracy within the tools and provide recommendations of ways to operate in more efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Proactively engages with the Strategic Sourcing Functions and Purchasing Team to identify new opportunities to leverage purchasing tools and processes, and/or eAuction related buying strategies
  • Ensure effective delivery of Strategic Sourcing Group (SSG) services to business partners
  • May support the monthly reporting and tracking for departmental KPI's and Savings Targets
  • Ensure data accuracy within the tools and provide recommendations of ways to operate in more efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data, providing detailed information to support Strategic Sourcing Group (SSG) buying/ sourcing decisions

SHAREHOLDER

  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate
  • Be knowledgeable of sourcing practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends for own functional area
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk activities as necessary
  • Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development / delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience
  • Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exists
  • Acquire and apply sourcing expertise, provide guidance, assistance and direction to others
  • Identify, recommend, and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the discipline
  • Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • First level professional role with focus on performing functional specialized business services or support within defined parameters as directed
  • Requires basic experience and skills and provides standard reporting and /or analysis as directed
  • Requires basic knowledge of the function and / or the business supported
  • Focuses on developing conceptual knowledge of sourcing / procurement practices and procedures
  • Understands key business and functional drivers and processes in the context of their own work
  • Uses existing established methods and procedures to complete assignments and / or solve problems
  • Generally works within well-defined parameters under the direction of management and/or senior analysts
  • Generally reports to Senior / Manager role

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • Post-Secondary Education and / or
  • 1+ years of experience
